Yeah, unfortunately you (VCs) bring this on yourselves. As long as you’re having wet dreams about totally unrealistic growth scenarios, there’ll be people ready to pitch you unrealistic growth scenarios.
VCs will avoid like the plague a stable proposition with a crystal clear route to a sensible 2-3x exit, in favour of something really good looking with a small chance of 1000x.
