You know major releases are a BAD thing, right? A major release indicates a breaking change, meaning that we developers now have even more to do. The JS community is a nightmare for this (for comparison, Django, which is a python web framework, is far older than React and is still only at v4 because the python community tend to care about reducing hardship for their users).

React can stay at 18 for as long as it wants in my book.
